ABOUT

Honest and introspective storytelling lies at the core of Ida Just’s songwriting. Combining pop, indie, and dance music with flourishing melodies and playful production, she creates emotive and colourful soundscapes.

The Danish singer-songwriter left her native Copenhagen when she was just a teenager to immerse herself in the eclectic music scene of London. The multi-cultural melting pot exposed her to a community of collaborators that set her on a path to finding her sound: finely-spun, nocturnal pop dreamscapes.

Coming from a family of dancers, Ida Just had been drawn to expression and performance. Though singing in choirs as a child allowed her to hone her crystalline vocals, it was only in her early teens, after years of confiding in her journals and channelling her emotions through poetry, that she discovered the euphoria of singing her own words.

The newest single 'Peaches' by the LGBTQ+ singer-songwriter is the 1st single from her upcoming EP 'Growing Candy'. The song is a tongue in cheek lovesong about Ida falling in love with a woman for the first time. It’s a modern love story.
